1. Who we are and what we do
Technous is an independent app studio. We design, build and run our own apps, and we sometimes build software for clients. This website tells you about our apps and our studio, and it lets you contact us.
2. Our apps have their own terms
Nimble, Skye and Tact each have their own terms of use. When you use an app, that app's terms apply. If they conflict with these terms, the app's terms win for that app.
- Nimble: nimbleapp.co/terms-and-services
- Skye: skyeapp.co/terms-and-services
- Tact: tactapp.co/terms
If you buy a subscription or another item through the App Store or Google Play, the store's terms and refund rules also apply to that purchase.
3. Client projects
When we build software for a client, a separate written agreement covers the work, such as a proposal, statement of work or contract. That agreement wins over these terms. Unless the agreement says otherwise:
- after full payment, the client owns the intellectual property in the custom work we deliver;
- we keep ownership of our own existing tools, libraries and methods, and the client gets a permanent, non-exclusive licence to use them as part of the delivered work.
4. Using this website
You may browse the website and share links to it. You must not:
- try to get unauthorised access to the website or to the systems behind it;
- upload or send viruses or other harmful code;
- copy large parts of the website automatically, for example with scrapers;
- pretend to be Technous or use the website for anything unlawful.
We can change, pause or remove parts of the website at any time.
5. Our content and brands
The text, design, images and code of this website, and the names and logos Technous, Nimble, Skye and Tact, belong to us or to the people who license them to us. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes, for example to read or print a page. For any other use, please ask us first.
6. Feedback and ideas
If you send us ideas or suggestions about our apps or our website, we may use them freely, without payment or credit to you. This applies only to ideas and suggestions. You keep the rights in everything else you send us, and we use support messages only to help you.
7. Links to other websites
This website links to other websites, such as our app websites and the app stores. Each of those websites has its own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for websites that other companies run.
8. Our responsibility to you
We work to keep this website correct and available, but we provide it "as is". We do not promise that it is always available, free of errors or complete.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for loss or damage that comes from using this website. We are also not responsible for loss that we could not reasonably foresee, or for business losses such as lost profit. Our apps and client projects have their own terms about responsibility.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your legal rights.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our services change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply from the date we publish them and do not apply to anything that happened before.
10. Law and disputes
The law of England and Wales governs these terms. If you have a problem, please write to us first, and we will try to solve it with you. If we cannot solve it, the courts of England and Wales can decide the dispute. If you are a consumer, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the protections that the law of your country gives you.
